John Mc Laughlin in his instructional DVD “This is the way I do” says that the minor melodic scale is the most important scale for Jazz & contemporary music, and De Lucia innovated including its use in the flamenco music in a genial way, so I think you will enrich your “contour” vocabulary with it!
